Apparently, the Web Gnome page isn't enough. I've been advised that a "bio" page should be put up. So here it is.

A bio. How do you recap decades of living?

I've been floating around and sometimes stomping around the Neo-Pagan system for over 25 years now. Started out, as most of us do, with the whole Wicca thing. In fact, it is pretty much, how I raised my 3 sons.

Old style, not the femi-nazi stuff, not the tree hugging, vegan thing but the old ritual, two aspects, balance, Gods, Goddesses system. I really despair over the multitude of New Agey pseudo-Pagan crap that proliferates and spreads like mildew.

Eventually, there were simply too many inconsistencies and fabrication of facts for me. I left Wicca and persued a more radical approach. Thelema. One of the stronger roots of the original Gardnerian system.
We do have a coven. It is very closed and very tight. We've had visitors on occasion but for the most part, we keep it closed and quiet. I don't play well with others.

Let's see. My dear husband and I will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in September, 2008. We've been together longer than that but the civil marriage took place 25 years ago.

Sons are all in the twenties; eldest will be 28 in September, second eldest will be 27 and our baby will be 22. Our baby is married and brought into our fold, my gorgeous daughter in law.

I've taught Wicca and the Occult. I am the president of a local Pagan association. I've run discussion groups, organized Pagan events and served on a national Pagan board. The past couple of years have been spent on hiatus as I worked through some personal and spiritual stuff.

Truth be told, I was beyond burned out. I was fed up to the eyeballs with everything Pagan. Work had a hand in the burnout as did some family issues but in the end, it was my involvement with the Montreal Pagan community that really did me in.

I'm slowly getting back into it but I'm keeping it small, quiet and very selective.

Outside the whole Pagan thing; I work in the Freight Forwarding industry. Actually, I have worked in the industry, pretty much my entire working life. Everything from loading trucks on a dock to International import/export; ground, air and sea.

I smoke, little flavoured, filtered cigars. I drink. I eat meat and enjoy every mouthful. I'm a metalhead from the early days. I don't do New Age or pop music. I despise PETA and I'm none too happy with the Green Peace people of late. Money drives them now. They are a corporation and nothing more.

Body Art is a love of mine. I have three tattoos presently; a large Neo-Pagan thing of my husband's design, that's on my lower back. On my upper back, I have Baphomet - a constant reminder of balance to me.

On my right upper arm, I have the Pink Ribbon, superimposed over a black ribbon - the black represents all my female relatives and friends who have passed over due to the disease.

We share our home with 3 pythons - Baal and George are Ball pythons. Azzie is a Jungle Carpet Python. We have a Chinese Water Dragon, Morty; a Blue Crowned Conure, Nelly. Then there's Dizzy, our Mitred Conure, Percy, our Lutino Cockatiel, Pebbles, a Peach faced lovebird. An assortment of Comets, Koi and Plecos as well as 3 Tarantulas - Kali, an Indian Ornamental, Tequila, a Mexican redknee, Odin, a Curly Hair and a spider. The latter is a Red African Trapdoor whom we never see and as a result, doesn't have a name.
